All Moore-Merkowitz Tiles are made in our production studio in New York State. Due to the nature of the raw materials and the production methods used for handmade ceramic art tile, some variation in size, color, and surface, is not only expected, but enhances the beauty of the tile and the finished installation. Our tiles can be used in all interior spaces, including: kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms and fireplaces.
1. What determines a sale tile?
Our tiles are made-to-order. We manufacture a standard percentage of overage tiles per order. Overage tiles not used to complete an order are called overruns and we offer them at a sale/discounted price to the public.
2. How is the Sale page organized?
Sale tiles are organized by glaze color. Each color page may include categories of tiles to help you create a complete installation: 6x6 deco’s, 4x4 deco’s, Moldings & Trim’s, Field Tile and Inserts. Feel free to mix colors, too, and have fun!
3. How many quantities are sold?
Sale tiles are sold by piece or by lot and are listed on each product page. A lot is a specific quantity of one design sold together. By piece, one chooses the quantity. Pieces or lots available are posted below the “Add to Cart” button on each product page.
4. What is the quality difference between sale tiles/overruns and made-to-order tiles?
Overruns may have more color variance or not. Look in our “Notes” section of each product page for color lot details.
5. What is the discount amount?
The discount percent is listed on each product page.
6. How are purchases made?
Sale tiles are sold only on our website.
7. How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping on orders $200 or more. Under $200, shipping is $20 per order and is applied at checkout. *This offer only applies to customers who live in the lower 48 states of the United States. If you live out of the 48 states, please contact us directly to place your order.
8. What is the delivery time?
All sale tiles are in stock and usually ship within three business days.
9. Can an order be expedited?
We ship all orders regular UPS or freight, depending on tile quantities. If you need to expedite your order, you will need to contact us and pay an additional rush/shipping charge.
10. How often do we post sale tiles on our website?
Regularly. Visit our sale section often and explore our new additions!
11. Can additional tiles be purchased?
Yes, if you need additional tiles to complete an installation you may purchase them on our website. Each overrun product page offers a link to its tile series’ page. We do not guarantee an exact color match between overrun and made-to-order tiles.
12. Are there color lot notes & photographs?
On each product page we post a single image of the tile design for sale and also group images in the Gallery section below. Group images combine sale designs of the same glaze color for design inspiration.
13. What areas can tiles be applied?
Our tiles are made for interior use. Customers have used our tiles outdoors in moderate climates, where the temperatures do not go below freezing. Although, we can not guarantee this.
14. Do you offer design and installation services?
We are a tile manufacturer and currently do not offer design or tile installation services. Should you need assistance with your design project, we recommend you hire a design professional and/or professional tile installer to install the tiles. We post all tile size information for customers. You are welcome to contact us with questions.
15. How many tiles of a particular design fit in a square foot?
Listed in the “Details” section on each product page.
16. Are there sale designs not currently offered on our website?
Some overrun designs are currently not offered on our website. If you need additional tiles to complete an installation, click on the “Contact Us” link in the “Lot Notes” and send us a message.
17. Do you allow returns and/or refunds?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns.
